ABI wishes all of you are safe and happy! If there is anything at all we can help you with, please reach out to us by email.
ABI is following state and local recommendations for the use of beaches. We have noticed many residents using the beaches in a responsible manner with a few exceptions. It appears to be a healthy outlet for many Arden Families.
Please continue to follow our governor’s mandates. Let’s all hope that business as usual can proceed in May.
Lately, there has been a lot of dog waste deposited in the beach trash cans. With limited beach activities, trash service will be less frequent. To reduce unsanitary conditions and unpleasant odors, please take your dog waste home with you!
Moving forward with budgetary plans for 2020, our receivables will change this season but so may our expenses. Obviously, Beach rentals are not currently permitted, which accounts for $3- $4 thousand each year depending upon weather conditions. A few thousand is also spent for maintenance, security, Gotugo, dumpsters, beach checkers and more.
Our Website has been a great success and I am proud to say it is the best site on the Severn River of any community. Many thanks to Axiom Planet and to our Board Members for their countless hours of work! Arden should be proud of what we have accomplished. We have drastically cut back on postage and have information available to us instantaneously.
We plan to install security cameras at beach 1 and ramp 4 in the near future. The price is a little higher than we had hoped. We are working with a local contractor, Weisman Electric, to see what we can do to cut some costs. The BGE cost is fixed, but Casey Wiseman is very frugal and resourceful in helping us lower our costs.
We need to dig 2 trenches to bury electrical cables to our new security camera poles. We need your help! Does any resident own or have access to a trencher? This will go a long way to providing enhanced security at our beaches and ramps.
